Youth pickleball
in Demarest.

Demarest is a small, leafy K-8 borough where everyone knows everyone — small classes, walkable schools, a community that values structure and substance over flash. That's how we run a court too. Summer camp is about 15 minutes south at Fort Lee Public School #1, and after-school in a Demarest school is something parents are starting to ask us about.

  • 15 min from Demarest
  • Grades 2–6, by skill level
  • All equipment included
  • Built by a 13+ year educator

Why Demarest kids play with us

For a town this size, the right after-school move is usually one parent making one introduction. Demarest Public Schools has the building, has the kids, and has the families ready to sign up — what's missing is the connector. If you're a Demarest parent or PTA member who'd love pickleball in town, the schools form is the fastest way in.

For Demarest parents & PTAs

Bring Little Picklers
to a Demarest school.

There's no Little Picklers program in a Demarest school yet — but that's exactly what we're working to change. The next schools we go into are the ones where one parent picks up the phone.

What we bring

  • • All paddles, balls, and portable nets
  • • A 13+ year educator running the curriculum
  • • Grades 2–6 lesson plans, ready to run
  • • General liability insurance
  • • Registration, payment, and parent comms

What we need from your school

  • • A gym or multi-purpose room
  • • A time slot — after-school, PE block, or weekend
  • • An intro to the principal or PTA president
  • • A spot on the parent newsletter when we launch

No budget line. No staff time. No equipment storage.

We're still building out the standard playbook — we'll shape the format around what works for your school, whether that's an after-school session, a PE enrichment block, or a weekend clinic.

Demarest parent questions

How long is the drive from Demarest to summer camp?
About 15 minutes south down Knickerbocker Road or Engle Street. Going against commuter traffic both ways, so the drive is easy.
Will Little Picklers come to a Demarest school?
Not yet, but Demarest is on our priority list. The fastest way to move us up the line is a PTA or principal introduction — we'll come in with a proposal and a sample week.
What if my Demarest kid doesn't know other campers?
They will by Tuesday. We mix groups across the camp daily, so kids meet peers from across Bergen — not just their own town's school.
